Feb 18, 2019Today has been a long day. The fatigue and the roller coaster of emotions finally caught up with me. One bonus during my recovery from surgery is that I’ve had time to read and I finally finished this book that’s been on the top of my book pile.Dr Uzma Yunus passed away in January after a hard fought battle with metastatic breast cancer. She inspired many including me with her humor courage insight grace and resilience. This is her story and it’s a powerful read. I laughed and cried my way through it.

Here’s the link to buy the book if you’re interested.Left Boob Gone Rogue: My Life With Breast Cancerhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NF32LCQ/ref=sr_1_3…Her loving husband Dr Dheeraj Raina posted this article today about their hospice experience and it reminded me how important dignity and choice are in health care decisions especially with end of life care. It’s a beautiful description of Uzma’s last days and a reminder to be present and enjoy every moment with our loved ones.https://uzmamd.com/2019/02/18/hospice-way-good-death/
